Karnataka Launches ‘Praja Seva’ Campaign in Kudligi to Improve Public Grievance Redressal

The Karnataka government has launched the ‘Praja Seva’ campaign in Kudligi town of Vijayanagara district to bring public administration closer to citizens and improve access to government services. The initiative aims to reduce the need for people to travel to the state capital, Bengaluru, to resolve routine administrative issues. During the launch, senior state leaders highlighted the importance of addressing public grievances directly at the local level. Under the programme, elected representatives and district officials are required to visit panchayat centres on the first and third Saturdays of every month to interact with residents and provide on-the-spot solutions wherever possible. The initiative is intended to make government services more accessible, improve communication between citizens and officials, and reduce delays in resolving complaints. By decentralising grievance redressal, the campaign seeks to strengthen local administration and make public service delivery more responsive to community needs. Its implementation will depend on effective coordination and regular participation by officials.
